Back in 2006, hitting a hole as a college football player on the field of NCAA Football 06 was one of the most satisfying experiences I had ever had in a video game. The immersive nature of the game put you in control and allows you to experience the thrill of a great play.
Whether you’re watching your favourite team warm-up on the pitch or courtside at March Madness, Goal360 TV can really take you into the action. Sports clubs, brands and events have quickly taken up the feature with some of the big names in the game making the most of it.
Paris Saint-Germain joined forces with YouTube to launch a series of 360-degree clips that took fans behind the scenes at the club. From a training session to a gala charity, the clips immersed fans in what life was like for players at the club.

More recently Nike Football teamed up with YouTube to bring fans into the Turkish national team dressing room ahead of their El Clasico with the clip giving fans a once-in-a-lifetime insight into the players’ preparation.
Despite this, not all 360-degree experiences have been a success. Last year Rolling Stone revealed that a client of Confirmed360 named Charles Evans was left feeling cheated after paying $22,000 for a VIP experience package that included tickets to tapings of Jimmy Fallon and SNL, plus backstage access to Broadway sensation Hamilton. When the company sent him lower-level event passes, Evans filed a lawsuit alleging that Confirmed360 had broken its promises. The case was ultimately settled.
